KillSwitch Engage and Lamb of God are great bands. But nowadays they consider their genre Screamo.

P.S. Have you heard KillSwitch Engage's Holy Diver-Dio Cover? Its pretty epic if I do say so myself.

I know this is completely unrelated but considering the fact that ive been playing a lot, I have to say out of all songs, I think the Light that Blinds would make the best theme for Shadow of the Colossus

Does nobody here like rap then?

I'm not talking like 50 cent and all those muppets (I don't get how people 'relate' to someone who 'has all the money and hoes' etc), but like even proper rap?
It's probably called 'old skool rap' now... but that was if you broke it down logically, just the poetry of illiterate people living in poverty.
some of it is actually good too...

I should point out, I don't exactly listen to much rap, I used to, but there isn't much of it that is good any more. I have always been into the British equivalent of rap: 'Grime' which evolved out of garage and jungle.. It's going the same way rap did though, ever since they actually got famous (Tinie Tempah, Chipmunk ), and so I've turned off from that too... Once it enters mainstream it dies trying to appease everyone...

I want to make clear that I like metal too... And piano. And dubstep. And drum and bass. And plain old rock. And finally, jazz, blues and even Frank Sinatra.
Honestly, I'm not too keen on screamo, but I like Bullet for my Valentine, (Tears don't fall is nothing short of quite amazing)

But I seriously can't accept that nobody likes rap any more... is there not even one song you don't hate?

And by the way sorry, I have a habit of rambling on for no real reason, usually about completely irrelevant or loosely relevant stuff... but I am genuinely curious to know if there is anyone on the site who doesn't hate rap?

I like rap. When done well its very therapeutic ("Good Die Young" is an excellent tune)

But then I'm a bad judge, there isn't a genre I dislike, nor an artist really. Everyone has some good and some bad in them.

Killswitch being Screamo I can see, but I will never recognize Lamb of God as such. Just because the vocals reach a certain pitch doesn't mean that the entire band gets pinned to that generally sub-par genre. Lamb is actually quite proficient with their instruments, and they are a lot closer to being a Thrash band than any other classification.

This is sort of the same mentality applied to Slipknot being called Nu-Metal. I simply don't see it.
