Post-Heresy and Current Primarch Stats

Lion El'Jonson - Loyal
---Status: Asleep within The Rock

1) Fallen Angels

Though broadly considered to remain loyal to the God-Emperor after the Horus Heresy, a Dark Angels Chapter Master considered to be a Fallen Angel exposes a possible reason to question his Primarch's allegiance when put under interrogation.
"There is a very simple reason why Lion El'Jonson did not take part in the final battles of the Horus Heresy", Astelan let himself drop to the floor, his back against the stone table, his eyes closed. "It is beautifully simple when you consider it. He was Waiting."
"Waiting? For what?", Boreas asked quietly
Astelan looked into Boreas' eyes, seeing the curiosity that was now there.
"He was waiting to see which side won, of course".

- Corax making traitor marines his bitches while tanking Lascannon fire with barely any damage done to his armour:
Spoiler
“The ground murmured with his landing. Claws slashed from their powerfist housings with silver flashes, and shimmering wings of dark metal reached up from his shoulders into the air above. Slowly, so painfully slowly, he raised his head to the traitors. Black eyes stared from a face whiter than imperial marble, and written across the pale features was the most consummate, complete anger Argel Tal had ever seen. It was an emotion truer and deeper even than the rage that ruined the faces of the daemons within the warp.

And Argel Tal realised it was not anger, nor rage. It went beyond both. This was wrath, in physical form.

The primarch of the Raven Guard turned with an inhuman cry, letting the thrumming wing-blades affixed to his smoking jetpack slice out with their killing edges. Word Bearers tumbled away in droves, shredded into lumps of armoured flesh. The claws followed, rending any of the grey warriors unlucky enough to be in range of the warlord's landing.

Once he was in motion, Corax never slowed. He was a blur of charcoal armour and black blades, carving, chopping, dismembering without effort, mutilating with the barest movement, butchering with an ease that belied his ferocity.

Lascannon fire rained towards the primarch as the Iron Warriors turned their turrets on the gravest threat in range. The Word Bearers caught in the net of streaming fire were sliced apart as surely as the ones killed by Corax's claws, but the beams themselves flashed aside from the primarch's armour, never striking it straight-on, leaving savage burn scars but never once penetrating.”
The First Heretic, p.444 - **

- Primarchs were taken by an unknown force:
Spoiler
“Within shrouded vaults far beneath the surface of Terra, the Emperor began the creation of the next generation of superwarriors. These were the Primarchs, twenty extraordinary individuals who would be his generals - great leaders who would conquer thousands of worlds in his name. Each Primarch would have powers and skills beyond those of any other warrior, rivalling even those of the Emperor himself. Disastrously though, in the early stages of their development, the Emperor's great work was almost undone when the Primarchs vanished, scattered throughout the galaxy by an unknown force.” Codex: Space Marines (5e), p.6 - Origins of the Space Marines

- According to legend, Chaos was responsible:
Spoiler
“According to legend the Emperor created the Primarchs from artificially engineered genes, carefully imbuing each of them with unique superhuman powers. Legend goes on to tell how the Dark Gods of Chaos spirited away the Primarchs within their incubator capsules, scattering them widely throughout the Warp. More than one of the capsules was breached whilst it drifted through Warpspace - the forces of the Warp leaked in, wreaking havoc to the developing genetic material inside the capsule. Undoubtedly damage was done, although the nature of that damage would not become apparent until the Horus Heresy.” Codex: Space Marines (5e), p.12 - The History of the Ultramarines

- Roboute Guilliman's mental abilities are as mighty as his physical ones:
Spoiler
“The young Primarch grew quickly, and as he did so his unique physical and mental powers became obvious for all to see. By his tenth birthday he had studied and mastered everything the wisest men of Macragge could teach him. His insight into matters of history, philosophy and science astonished his elders, but his greatest talent lay in the art of war. A genius for military organisation prompted his father to give him command of an expeditionary force in the far north of Macragge. This mountainous area was called Illyrium, a barbarous land which had harboured bandits and brigands for as long as anyone could remember. Although many wars had been fought against them, no-one had ever pacified the region for long. Roboute fought a brilliant campaign and won not only the submission, but also the respect, of the fierce Illyrian warriors.” Codex: Space Marines (5e), p.12 - The History of the Ultramarines

- Fulgrim sustains a minor bruise from a blow that Ferrus delivered with enough force to crush Terminator armour:
Spoiler
“Burning light and sound filled the Iron Forge, the weapons roaring as the unimaginable forces harnessed in their creation were unleashed. Ferrus dropped his guard and hammered his fist into Fulgrim's face, the force of the blow enough to crush the helmet of Tactical Dreadnought armour, but barely enough to bruise the flesh of a primarch.” / **, p.12 - **

It's worth noting that even Guilliman and the Ultramarines themselves considered Alpharius' death suspect. He is most likely alive and well.
Help this poor little fella grow big n' strong. Seriously, do it! He's a Nurgle Daemon, and has a name befitting a Khornate brute! Please, show him your good graces

Those edits are a little unnecesary at this point. The entries I outlined are simple placeholders.

What we look for in respect threads is actual page/source refference to back up the intel. This is not exactly a place to put our own summary and determinations, nor those made by third parties such as the wikis. That information is clearly already elsewhere on the web, ready to be looked at by any who bothers to research the topic in question.

We just want cold-hard facts in this sub-forum to pile together (facts to pile...get it?). Personal interpretations may be fine at times, but only if they have first-hand facts to back them up. An example would be (note, this is made-up for the sake of clarification):
Rogal Dorn

1) Dorn is able to stand against x number of traitor marines for x amount of time before falling to their greater numbers:
"Bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla."
- Index Astartes (Chapter Approved Sourcebook), p. 34

2) Dorn takes a direct Power Sword attack from a frenzied Slaaneshi Lord, with no damage taken by even his Artificer Power Armour thanks to his Iron Halo:
"Bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla."
- Horus Rising (Black Library Novel), p. 261

Scans of these pages would be even more appropriate. Makes sense?

Precisely my point.

You would have to give me either the quoted passage, or scan of the page to clarify that discrepancy without any room for doubt (other than interpretations that is). We need to stop quoting sources that quoted other sources, that quoted other sources.

Bottom line, the Respect Thread section is a place to eliminate the more-than-common fact dilution that plagues our debates.

Subsequently, NOTHING posted within the RT discussions can be considered final without the evidence to support it. So anything you see listed there now is open to be edited, including the "corrections" made by you fine folks.
